Hi, I’m Lydia

I’m an artist living in Beaufort, South Carolina with my husband and our two cats. I love long walks, good food, a glass of wine, and time with the people who make life feel full—but most days, I’m tucked away in my studio.

I paint with acrylic on raw cotton canvas, mixing colors I find in nature, from soft neutrals to the brighter hues that show up when the light shifts just right. My pieces often start with something simple I notice outside, and in the studio, I build on that feeling with repeated marks that add depth and soft washes that keep everything open and easy. My paintings are meant to feel grounding in a room—a bit unrefined yet elegant and intriguing.
